Saint Adele is German King Dagobert II’s daughter. She decided to become and work as a nun when she became a widow, but not before making the appropriate provisions for her beloved son, who was to become the father of the famous Saint Gregory of Utrecht.
St. Adele headed the founding of a Palatiolum convent just near the area Trier. She became the first Abbess. Saint Adele ruled the convent with love, holiness and compassion.
