Patron Saint Medals - Great Gift for Everyone

Catholics love to have patron saint medals worn around their necks. This is especially true to those whose devotion to their personal saints are great and who would love to show it by wearing these medals.

Patron saint medals, which usually show the features and characteristics of a certain saint, has been known to be prevalent as early as the ancient Christian eras. This practice of wearing saint medal is supposedly inherited from the Greek and Roman cultures.

Known to be a means of honoring Christian martyr, the patron saint medals in the latter days are known to be a way of expressing one’s devotion to a saint. For others, it is their belief that the saint medallions are effective in driving away the evil spirits. Wearing a saint medal is also a way of requesting the Lord for graces and blessings.

Patron saint medals usually are used as pendants on fine chains and necklaces. Some businessmen place medals of their patron saints in the holy area or corner of their office or building for protection and blessing. Many give saint medals to family members and friends as worthy birthday presents – together with wishes of good luck and protection that such holy tokens might bring.

Only this morning did we discover St. Rita of Cascia on the internet. We had a difficult situation and she heard our prayer (posted above!) and it was answered. Oh, the power of prayer!
Such a life St. Rita led here on earth. In gratitude, we will celebrate her often and everywhere.
Blessings to all who turn to her, too.
Thank You, from our hearts, beautiful St. Rita.
